Shirley Druschel

Shirley Anne Druschel, 78, of Zelienople passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community. After 14 years, she was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Larry Dean Druschel, whom she married on Dec. 5, 1958.

Born March 13, 1940, in Ellwood City, she was the youngest of eight siblings and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Verna (Bowers) Daufen.

Shirley was a member of Grace Church of Harmony.

She enjoyed crafting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Shirley retired at age 70 from driving a school bus for the Seneca Valley School District.

Shirley's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff of Passavant Retirement Community for their loving care and devotion.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Russo of Zelienople and Darcy (Mark) Hoyle of Beaver Falls; her three grandchildren, Angela (Jonathan) Aldridge of Mars, Alycia (Kristopher) Kull of Zelienople and Joshua Lawrence Hoyle of Beaver Falls; a great-grandson, Max Aldridge; and one great-grandson on the way.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her seven older siblings, John Daufen, Mildred Vollrath, Carl Daufen, George Daufen, Kenneth Daufen, Imogene King and King Daufen.

DRUSCHEL — A celebration of life for Shirley Anne Druschel, who died Thursday, April 26, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home in Zelienople.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's honor to Grace Church of Harmony.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Shirley's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
