Elaine Ross

Elaine Ross, 96, born July 26, 1921, in Butler, recently of Sebring, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by family April 13 after a brief illness.

She enjoyed serving in many capacities over the years. She first served at First Baptist Church in Butler, and later at Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla. Elaine enjoyed teaching children's Sunday school classes, entertaining missionaries, serving on various boards and singing in the choir. Her love of music began at the age of 5 when she and her twin sister, Aline, sang duets together.

Her favorite place was the hunting camp near Cook Forest that she and Earl, the love of her life and husband of 54 years, built in 1958. Elaine also enjoyed traveling in their fifth-wheel trailer.

She worked at Fuellgraf Electric Co. in Butler, for 29 years, serving as the executive secretary to Charles Fuellgraf Sr. In 1983, following her retirement, she and Earl moved to Sebring, Fla.

She is survived by her twin sister, Aline Stoughton of Beavercreek, Ohio; her son, Alfred (Tracey) of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edwin Earl Ross; a son, Edwin Earl Ross Jr.; three sisters; and one brother.
