Howard W. Dillner

Howard W. Dillner, 93, of West Deer passed away Wednesday.

A World War II, U.S. Army veteran, Howard served with the 82nd Airborne and earned several medals, including a Purple Heart.

He worked for many years with Anvil Steel in Allison Park, was a lifelong member of Trinity Church and the VFW in Gibsonia.

Howard loved being outside working on his farm, riding his tractors, gardening and above all, being with family.

He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Louise (Beach) Dillner; loving father of Wayne (Leigh) Dillner, Linda Dillner and Deborah (Tom Esterberg) Tuzikow; proud grandfather of Bryan (Katie) Dillner, Lauren Tuzikow, Stephen (Kayla) Tuzikow and Brandon (Ashley) Tuzikow; great-grandfather of Evan, Kara, Addison and Blake; brother of the late Harry, Ruth Black, Hazel Mink, Herman, Earl and Elmer.

DILLNER — The family of Howard W. Dillner, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Trinity United Church of Christ, Dorseyville, with the Rev. David Mears officiating.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Dorseyville.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 3712 Saxonburg Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
