Patricia “Patty” Morgan
Patricia “Patty” Morgan, 89, of Butler passed away on Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born Feb. 4, 1929, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late C. Raymond Hutchison and the late Alene Campbell Hutchison.
Patty was a graduate of Butler High School and went on to receive her registered nursing degree from Presbyterian Hospital. She then worked as the head nurse in the operating room at Presbyterian Hospital before retiring.
During this time, Patty traveled to Africa and loved working with Dr. Schweitzer, assisting in hand surgery on leprosy patients at his mission.
Patty was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Golf at Butler Country Club. She loved to laugh and enjoyed jokes, golf and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, David W. Morgan and his wife, Kimberly, of Butler; a daughter, Nancy A. McCarren and her husband, Jeffrey, of Butler; and four grandchildren, Michael and Patricia Morgan, and Jeffrey and Clint McCarren. Patty is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Charles Morgan; and her brothers, Don and Glenn Hutchinson.
MORGAN — Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation for Patricia “Patty” Morgan, who died Tuesday, April 17, 2018.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Merry H. Meloy officiating.Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.Arrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Butler County Associates for the Blind, 322 N.
