Randy L. McElravy

Randy L. McElravy, 73, of Karns City, PA passed away peacefully Sunday at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born Aug. 13, 1944, in Karns City the son of Charles R. and Armeida Cousins McElravy.

He had worked at Pullman Standard until the plant closed and then was a truck driver for various trucking companies. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Karns City.

He was a drag racing enthusiasts. He loved playing softball and was a pitcher for the Jack Pine Club. He was an avid guitar player. He enjoyed camping, being with his family and delighted in his grandchildren.

He presently was serving as vice-president of Karns City Borough Council. He is a former president of Karns City Quarterback Club and was a peer counselor of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sharon Barnhart McElravy, whom he married Oct. 1, 1977; his sons, Randy L. McElravy Jr. of Karns City, Eric S. (Patty) McElravy of Chicora and Kirk A. McElravy of West Sunbury; his mother, Armeida Cousins McElravy of Karns City; his sister, Shirley Ann Shepard of Karns City; his brothers, Ricky (Karen) McElravy of Chicora, Regis T. McElravy of Karns City, Rudy A. McElravy and friend, Sandy Kepple, of Karns City and Rodney K. McElravy of Karns City; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Charles R. McElravy; his older brother, Charles Robert McElravy Jr.; one infant daughter; his grandson, Randy L. McElravy III.

MCELRAVY — Private visitation for Randy L. McElravy, who died Sunday, April 15, 2018, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday with services immediately following at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora, with the Rev. Ronald Roudebush and the Rev. Alan Ion officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chicora.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to he Church of God of Prophecy, 1510 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA 16041.To extend condolences to his family go to www.steighnerfuneralhome.com.
