Nancy G. Imler

Nancy G. Imler, 86, of Altoona passed away Thursday morning at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center from complications of congestive heart failure.

She was born March 8, 1932, in Altoona, and was the daughter of the late David A. and M. Christina (Isenberg) Graham. She married William H. Imler Jr., Sept. 8, 1956, in Lakemont. He preceded her in death in 1976.

Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

She retired from Passavant Hospital of McCandless Township as director of pastoral care. She served for many years as a Judge of Elections in Middlesex Township.

Nancy was a member of the Ward Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was an ordained Presbyterian Elder and past moderator of the Presbyterian Women from the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.

She is survived by two sons, William H. Imler III of Marietta, Ga., and Stuart G. (Carol) Imler of Spring Hill, Tenn.; two daughters, Lesley I. (Rob) Shoup of Monongahela, Pa., and Suzanne M. (Vincent) Yang of Hewitt, Texas; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Morrison, with whom she resided.

She was predeceased by a brother, David R. Graham; and a brother-in-law, John W. Morrison Sr.
