Jessie Louise Schlemmer
Jessie Louise Schlemmer, 73, of Valencia passed away Thursday morning at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Sept. 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Larue McConnaughey Andrews. Larue was formerly of Sportsburg, Pa.
A 1966 graduate of Houghton College, Jessie was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught in Holland, N.Y., and in Monroeville, Pa.
For many years, Jessie was the children's ministry teacher at Mars Alliance Church, now LifePointe Alliance Church.
Jessie loved her family, her household bunnies and shared a special love for “her kids” in junior church.
She was an avid walker in her neighborhood and delighted in the neighbors she met along the way.
Surviving are her husband, Gary Schlemmer, whom she married on July 4, 1968; a son, Joshua Schlemmer of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; a grandson, Jayden Schlemmer; and a sister, Glenda (Danny) Cook of Stanwood, Wash.
SCHLEMMER — Friends of Jessie Louise Schlemmer, who died Thursday, April 5, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Sunday at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 PA-228, Mars, with the Rev.
