Douglas Majors, 58, of Buffalo Township passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Sugar Creek Rest.

Douglas was originally from Mansfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Opal and Acel Majors.

He was a corrections officer for Ohio at Mansfield Correctional Institute, then at the Ohio State Penitentiary, all a total of 25 years of service.

He enjoyed working, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, friends and pets.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Dianne (Duerr) Majors; two stepsons, Benjamin Morrison and Andrew Morrison, all of Buffalo Township; two sons, Joseph (Amanda) Majors and Samuel Majors and six grandchildren, all of Mansfield, Ohio.

MAJORS — Family and friends of Douglas Majors, who died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.A service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
