James R. Plunkard
James R. Plunkard, 69, of Pulaski, Pa. passed away Tuesday at his home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1948, in Butler, and was the son of the late James R. Plunkard Sr. and Thelma (Hoover) Plunkard.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Portersville, American Legion 220 in Grove City, American Legion Riders and ABATE. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, camping, boating and water skiing.
James retired from Ellwood Specialty Steel.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Linda (Overly) Plunkard of Pulaski; a daughter, Melissa (Gary) Kline; two sons, Sam (Megan) Plunkard and Eric (Brandi) Carothers; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, Brooke, Hannah, Ian, Clara, Zachery and Alexis; a sister, Brenda Plunkard and her husband, Kenny Jones; and two brothers, George (Carol) Plunkard and Ron (Kathy) Plunkard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anita (Plunkard) Copeland; and an infant brother.
PLUNKARD — Friends of James R. Plunkard, who died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Presbyterian Church of Portersville, 1297 Perry Hwy., Portersville with his pastor, Mr. Dana Opp officiating. There will be a dinner at the church after the burial for friends and family.Interment will be in Portersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
