Helen Faye Kelly Leavy
Helen Faye Kelly Leavy, 88, of Foxburg passed away Thursday morning at Lakeland Regional Health Center following an illness.
Born in Bruin, Sept. 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Flora Stewart Kelly.
Helen was married Dec. 26, 1950, to Richard A. “Dick” Leavy who passed away Oct. 18, 1992.
Following high school graduation, she attended the former Butler Business College. She then became a secretary at the former Knox Glass Corp. of Parker.
Helen was always a devoted church worker teaching Sunday school and Bible school at her chosen church. In recent years, she was a devoted member of Park Hill Church of God at West Freedom.
She enjoyed watching all types of sports in the company of her son, Dick. She was always ready to travel or dine out at the suggestion of her son.
Surviving are her son, Richard J. Leavy of Parker; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Kelly, who passed away March 23, 2010.
