Susan P. Erb, 69, of Butler passed away Thursday following an extended health issue while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 13, 1948, and was the first daughter of the late Robert J. and Elizabeth A. (Paterson) Erb.

Sue graduated from Shippensburg University in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in sociology.

She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and enjoyed music.

Anyone who knew Sue was aware of her giving spirit and gentle disposition. Her silly giggle made everyone smile. She leaves behind an inspiration to others of how to treat people with kindness and sincerity, even in the midst of her own suffering.

Sue is survived by her brothers, Bob (Cathi) Erb of Portersville, and Chris (Lois) Erb of Cranberry Township; her baby sister, Cheryl Erb of Cranberry Township; and her close friend, Nancy Lewis of Butler.
