Time has changed the face of things

Since you went away;

There's almost nothing here that you would recognize today!

Yet could you look into our hearts

You'd see they're still tonight.

The love you lighted long ago

Like votive candles burning bright.

In the fifty years that you've been gone

Time's never learned to still

The longing in our hearts for you

And we know it never will

Though here we'll see you nevermore

We know we'll meet above

When God who called you home calls us

To join you in His love.
