Roy I. Jones
Roy I. Jones, 77, of Cabot passed away Thursday at his home
Born Feb. 22, 1941, in Cabot, he was the son of Clarence Jones and Audrey McConnell Jones.
Roy served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1961.
He worked as a crane foreman for Pullman Standard and a truck driver for GNC. He earned a certificate for 1 million miles of accident free driving.
He was a member of Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Co. and the Sarver Vets.
He loved spending time in his garage, having parties with his family and friends. He was a racing enthusiast and a major Steelers fan.
Surviving are his son, Michael (Christine) Jones of Export; his daughter, Debbie (Jason Russman) Doutt of Cabot; his long time companion, Bert Zema of Cabot; his brother, Dwight (Alice) Jones of Butler; four sisters, Myrna Montgomery of Cabot, Freda (Joseph) Olean of Butler, Marian Jones of Sarver and Eunice Schoettker of Cabot; four grandchildren, Brittany (Steve) Roman of Export, Alicia Gregg of Export, Erikah Doutt of Cabot, and Damon Doutt III of Cabot; and three great-grandchildren, Evan, Kaidence and Landon. Roy is also survived by his extended family, Don (Deb) Zema of Cabot, Marci (Les) Voltz of Cabot, and Kim (Tom) Eurich of Cabot, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl Jones and James Jones; and one sister, Virginia Crist.
JONES — Friends of Roy I. Jones, who died Thursday, March 22, 2018, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W.
