Joyce A. Wedge

Joyce A. Wedge, 65, of Jackson Township passed away on Wednesday.

Born July 16, 1952, in Butler, she was the daughter of June Beahm Wedge and the late Charles Arthur Wedge Jr.

Joyce was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Evans City.

Joyce earned a degree in business administration at Butler County Community College. She was an active member and treasurer of the Pitt Pounders Leather Guild. She was proud of many of life's accomplishments, including having grown up in the country, having horses, achieving a green belt in karate, whitewater rafting, visiting Niagara Falls and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. She enjoyed fishing at home, Moraine State Park and Lake Erie, doing leather work, attending leather shows, having a dog, getting a degree from community college, collecting postage stamps, as well as vinyl records, and keeping the family genealogy.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, June Wedge of Evans City; her brother, Barry Wedge of Evans City; her sisters, Jill Wedge of Newell, W.Va., and Jamie (Richard) Wisniewski of Harmony; and her nieces, Heather, Bridget and Nicole; her nephews, Brian (Cherry) and Jason; and one great-nephew, Connor.

WEDGE — Friends of Joyce A. Wedge, who died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Lisa Griffin officiating.Joyce will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
