Evelyn Irene Longdon
Evelyn Irene Longdon, 86, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Sept. 11, 1931, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of the late Siebert Eckel Sr. and Esther Smyers Eckel.
Evelyn attended Bakerstown United Methodist Church.
She was a loving mother and wife who was known and loved for her kind and gentle spirit.
Surviving are her daughters, Beverly (Joe) Longdon of Valencia, and Barbara (Curt) Stone of Colora, Md., her sons, Robert (Tina) Longdon of Americus, Ga., and Bobby (Kayla) Longdon of Clarksville, Pa.; her sisters, Dolores Hickey of Saxonburg, Marie Riggs of Butler, and Kathy Marsh of Mars; her daughter-in-law, Irene Longdon of Sarver; her six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Longdon Jr.; her son, Ivan “Butch” Longdon III; her sisters, Alice Sterling, Mildred Stiffy and Esther Peth; and her brother, Siebert Eckel Jr.
LONGDON — Friends of Evelyn Irene Longdon, who died Thursday, March 15, 2018, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W.
