Giant Eagle is recalling multiple items prepared with romaine lettuce and sold in its Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo locations across Western Pennsylvania because of concerns about E. coli contamination.

The voluntary recall is in response to a notice from the Centers for Disease Control on romaine lettuce sourced by a supply partner from Yuma, Ariz. There had been no reported illnesses among Giant Eagle customers as of Saturday, according to a news release from the company.

The recall focuses on 37 ready-to-eat products that were packaged from April 9 to Friday and sold in clear plastic containers from the stores’ catering, restaurant and salad bar areas. They include various salads and boxed lunches, as well as several styles of wraps.

Company officials say people should either dispose of the products or return them to their local store with a qualifying receipt for a refund.
