SEVEN FIELDS — To celebrate its 35th anniversary, the borough is planning a beer and wine festival this summer.

It's one of three events the borough is planning to host to bring the community together. The Beer and Wine Fest is tentatively planned for 5 to 8 p.m. July 8 at Seven Fields Town Park, 380 Castle Creek Drive.

There will be live entertainment and food trucks, as well as a lineup of local microbreweries and wineries, said Tom Smith, borough manager.

Three vendors are confirmed so far, Smith said, and they're looking for more to add to the lineup.

“It'll make a nice July Sunday afternoon,” he said.

Ticket prices and more information will be announced later.

Also coming back this year is the popular Food Truck Night on Wednesday evenings in August.

Going on its third year, food trucks will fill the parking lot at the Town Park from 5 to 8 p.m. to sell a variety of cuisines. Last year there were sandwiches, barbecue, fish tacos, burgers, ice cream, hot dogs, pizza and more.

The borough tries to schedule between 10 and 12 trucks weekly.

People came from the borough and surrounding communities to enjoy the festivities, which included live entertainment some nights. Smith said there will be bands at Food Truck Night this year as well.

To kick off the summer's festivities, the ninth annual Seven Fields community carnival is set June 7 to 9 at the Town Park with Lisko Family Midway Amusements providing rides and games. Fireworks will be handled by Pyrotecnico.
