A West Virginia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to disorderly conduct and was immediately sentenced in Butler County Court, after being charged with impersonating a police officer.

Malachi J. Anthony, 39, of Moundsville, W.Va., pleaded guilty to the summary charge and was sentenced by President Judge Thomas Doerr to complete 40 hours of community service, which he has already completed, and to pay court costs within 30 days.

He also was initially charged with misdemeanor impersonating a public servant after an incident at a Brady Township home May 3, 2016.

State police said Anthony and an unknown man showed up at a home on Lilac Drive and told the woman who lives there they were from the county's drug task force.

They said they had a search warrant to look for heroin belonging to the woman's daughter. The victim let the men inside. They later left in a sport utility vehicle.

The woman provided police with the SUV's license plate number.
