Peggy I. Suchonic

Peggy I. Suchonic, 88, of Butler, passed away Saturday.

She was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Butler, to the late Colonel E. Edmiston and the late Helen M. Dickson Edmiston.

Peggy was a member of Grace @ Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was very active within the church.

Peggy is survived by three daughters, Cindy Stivason of Butler, Pamela (Joseph) Furka of Butler, and Billie Jo (Robert) Wiest of Butler; six grandchildren, Dawn (Gordon) Hartman, Derek Furka, Courtney (Chris) Windham, Brett Wigton, Tyler Wiest and Amanda Wiest; five great-grandchildren, Michael Hartman, Emily Hartman, Connor Wigton, Chloe Windham and Cameron Windham; a number of nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Suchonic, whom she married June 26, 1951, and who died Oct. 1, 2004; one daughter, Rebecca Wigton; one son-in-law, Pete Stivason; and one brother, William Edmiston.

SUCHONIC — Friends of Peggy I. Suchonic, who died Saturday, March 10, 2018, will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace @ Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., Butler, with Pastor Tara R. Lynn officiating. Burial will take place at the Rose Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler Meals on Wheels, 218 E.
