Woman arrested for drug possession

BUTLER TWP — A woman reportedly passed out in a store bathroom with a syringe in her mouth last weekend was later found with a bra stuffed with suspected heroin and crack cocaine, authorities said

The defendant, Chante E. Nee, 29, of Buffalo Township is facing felony drug possession and other charges.

By the time police responded to the initial call shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, Nee had regained consciousness in the bathroom at the Sheetz on Center Avenue, according to court documents.

She appeared to be under the influence, police said, but denied she had a syringe. An officer, however, turned up a crack pipe in one of her pockets.

When police instructed her to shake out her bra, documents said, baggies containing suspected crack and smaller glassine bags of suspected heroin fell to the floor. So did a wad of empty sandwich baggies and a syringe.

The defendant, while being treated by a Butler Ambulance Service crew, admitted that she “had used heroin while inside the bathroom stall,” according to a police affidavit.

In all, she was found with 50 stamp bags and six empty bags of suspected heroin, and seven empty sandwich baggies.

Police on Monday obtained an arrest warrant for Nee, who is charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
