Beloved Daughter

July 28, 1969 to April 9, 2006

While sitting alone at night, listening to the stillness, a flutter of a soft breeze is felt.

I call out softly, “Is that you, my dear Rene`?” Are you trying to tell me something?

I have so much to tell you. You now have a beautiful little granddaughter, she looks so much like you. Every time she smiles at me, it is you I see. She has a special twinkle in her eyes... I think it is you I see. I think about how much you would enjoy and love her. I point to your picture and tell her it is you, her Grammy in Heaven watching over her and all of us. I hug your granddaughter and cover her in butterfly kisses as you watch over know that each kiss and hug is meant for both, you and her.

So Dad made it and you and Phil were there to greet him. What a beautiful reunion it must have been. Tim followed a few days later. Such joy you all must be sharing in to be reunited. I smile and I am happy for all of you.

I miss you dearly, knowing that one day soon we will all be together gives me comfort. For now I shall cherish the memories.
