A Butler woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly brandished a knife and threatened a man inside their home in the 400 block of Morton Avenue.

But Dorothy M. Littlejohn, 40, wasn't finished, according to court documents.

She allegedly ransacked the house where police found belongings thrown from an upstairs window onto the driveway and a busted bottle of hot sauce on the floor. No one was injured.

Littlejohn was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct, and later released on her own recognizance

Police were called to the defendant's home three times in less than an hour Monday morning. The last time was shortly before noon. The caller was a 40-year-old man who claimed Littlejohn had a knife and was destroying the house.

The man's relationship with the defendant was not immediately known.

He told police that he was upstairs playing a video game when Littlejohn entered his bedroom. She was holding a knife and a bottle of hot sauce, documents said.

She allegedly threw his television onto the floor.

“He stated she said if the cops aren't going to handle this,” according to a police affidavit, “we will settle this ... with a knife.”

The man alleged Littlejohn “swayed” the knife in his direction. He recounted that he pushed her out of the way and ran downstairs to get away from the woman.

While officers were there, documents said, he showed them assorted belongings on the driveway that had apparently been thrown from a second-story window.

Police went into the house and found Littlejohn standing near a broken mirror. They said they also noticed a broken bottle of hot sauce scattered around the living room floor.
