Genevieve Brenneman Hogg of New Wilmington, formerly of Volant and New Castle, died at Shenango on the Green, New Wilmington, Wednesday evening. She was 82 years old.

Born in Scott Township, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel Double Martin.

She married Donald E. Brenneman then later married Arthur D. Hogg.

She was a member of the Neshannock Presbyterian Church of New Castle and later attended Shenango Presbyterian Church in Neshannock Township.

She graduated from East Lawrence High School and attended Westminster College.

Genevieve was a member of P.E.O. of New Castle, was an avid gardener and enjoyed baking, especially pies.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Patterson of Audubon, Pa., and her children, Jonathan and Hannah Patterson; a son, Timothy Brenneman and his wife, Debbie, of East Hampton, N.Y., and their sons, Zachary and Tyler. She also is survived by her stepchildren, Daniel Hogg of Annville, Pa., David Hogg of Volant, Pa., and Michelle Hoover of New Castle; six stepgrandchildren; and one brother, C. Clair Martin of Slippery Rock completes the family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and Marion Martin; and one sister, Lillian Martin.

HOGG — Visitation for Genevieve Brenneman Hogg, who died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Na officiating.Interment will follow at Neshannock Cemetery, New Castle.
