Paul A. Rodgers
Paul A. Rodgers, 86, of Steighner Road, Fenelton, passed away early Thursday morning at his home.
Paul was born in Rattigan April 1, 1931. He was the son of the late Charles and Catherine Shields Rodgers.
He attended Butler Area Schools. Paul was a longtime member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville and served the church on council and as an usher.
Paul retired from Magnetics in East Butler in 1995. In his earlier years, he enjoyed working on old cars and always looked forward to the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia A. Neigh Rodgers, whom he married at St. Wendelin Church April 7, 1956. Also surviving are five children, Dennis P. Rodgers and his wife, Deborah, of Fenelton, Richard J. Rodgers and his wife, Mary Ann, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Timothy Rodgers and his wife, Jody, of Valencia, Linda L. Schrecengost and her husband, Rick, of Dayton, and Carol Ann Rodgers of Fenelton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kiley. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

Rodgers, who died Thursday, March 8, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. John Roman Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, with the Rev.
