A Pittsburgh man was arrested after Butler police say bags of suspected heroin fell out of his pants pocket while an officer was questioning him Tuesday night, authorities said.

Saleem Boyd, 38, landed in the Butler County Prison on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. He's being held on $100,000 bail.

Police said a suspicious activity call shortly before midnight led them to Lincoln Avenue near Father Marinaro Park where they found Boyd and another man.

Officers asked the men for identification. When Boyd retrieved the wallet from his back pocket, according to court documents, “several stamp bags of heroin did fall onto the ground.”

He was arrested and searched. Police said they found a scale, crack pipe and $187 in currency.

The search also turned up two cigarette packs. One of those packs, documents said, contained a number of bags of suspected heroin that matched the bags that had fallen from his pants pocket.

Officers later took another look at where they initially encountered Boyd, police said, and found a pill bottle with suspected crack cocaine and three pills believed to be the antianxiety medications alprazolam.

The defendant was taken to the station for a more thorough search during which police allegedly found another baggie with suspected crack and an additional $520 in cash.

In all, police said, they seized 18 stamp bags and five empty bags of suspected heroin, and four baggies of suspected crack that weighed a combined 15.6 grams.

Boyd is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Tori Zaborowski, 25, of Cheswick, Allegheny County, who police believe had accompanied Boyd and the other man to Butler, was allegedly found with two syringes in a car.

Police said they plan to charge her with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The other man was not charged.
