Power outages continue
Efforts to restore power to more than a hundred Butler County households continued Thursday morning, with one of the region's two major electricity providers reporting that customers in Penn Township are most heavily affected.
According to West Penn Power, 177 households in Butler County were without power as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
The vast majority were concentrated in Penn Township, where 155 households were without power according to the company's online outage tracker.
Households in 11 other municipalities were also affected, the company said, including Buffalo, Center, Cherry, Clay, Fairview, Jackson, Marion, Slippery Rock, Summit and Worth townships, and Butler City.
The company said it expects power to be restored by Thursday night at the latest.
The county's other major electricity provider, Central Electric Cooperative, was reporting no outages as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
