Vehicle causes minor damage to city house

A man was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital Friday night after a one-vehicle accident.

Police and fire units were dispatched at 10:18 p.m. to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Spring Street in Butler for a report of a vehicle into a house with a man bleeding.

The vehicle caused only minor damage to the porch because the vehicle was slowed when it hit a bush, Capt. Tom Fair of the Butler Fire Department said. The vehicle had front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

The driver was taken to the hospital by Butler Ambulance Service with unknown injuries.
