Frances E. Forsythe
Frances E. Forsythe, 102, of Butler passed away Feb. 21 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Gibsonia.
She was born June 4, 1915, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Frederick Schoppe and the late Katherine Spaniol Schoppe.
Frances worked as an office manager in a department store in Cincinnati, Ohio before coming back to Pennsylvania.
She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pittsburgh. Frances volunteered several thousands of hours at the VA in Butler.
She is survived by her son, Richard H. Forsythe and his wife, Linda, of Butler; one daughter, Patricia A. Byers and her husband, Robert, of Houston, Texas; and four grandchildren, Bonnie and Jason Forsythe and Jennifer and Andy Byers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred G. Forsythe, who passed away in 1982; her daughter-in-law, Jessica Forsythe; and her two sisters and one brother.
