Donald Glenn Christie

Donald Glenn Christie, 59, of Slippery Rock, Worth Township, passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Donald was born Feb. 7, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, to Donald Alexander Christie and Edna Louise Richards Christie.

He married Barbara Ann Seman May 27, 1978.

He graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1977. He went on to work for Wiest Asphalt of Butler as a truck driver.

He attended of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara at home; four children, Donald Christie of Pittsburgh, Dave Christie (Brooke) of Slippery Rock; Melissa (David) Gumpp of Granger, Ind., and Michael (Katie) Christie of Slippery Rock; his father, Donald Christie of Sharon; two sisters, Kathy (Don) Grossman of Harrisville and Linda Christie of Sharon; four brothers, Roger (Stephanie) Christie of McKeesport, Steve Christie of Butler, Mark Christie of Slippery Rock and Timmy; six grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

CHRISTIE — The family of Donald Glenn Christie, who died Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
