Arlene M. Sarver-Kniess

Arlene M. Sarver-Kniess of Grove City, formerly of Prospect passed away Tuesday following a brief illness. She was 81.

Arlene was born in Freeport, Armstrong County, Aug. 9, 1936, to Martin and Jean (Mueller) McClure.

She married Charles Sarver and later Harold Kniess. Both preceded her in death.

She was raised in the Protestant faith and was a graduate of Freeport High School.

Arlene was a homemaker and was formerly employed at the Butler VA Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and sewing.

She is survived by three children, Chuck (Bonnie) Sarver of West Sunbury, Cindy Hicks of Butler, and Chris (Doug) Eisler of Grove City; five stepchildren; five grandchildren; one sister, Yvonne Ross of Sarver; three brothers, Donald and David McClure, both of Sarver, and Richard McClure of Butler.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Dianne Shaw; and a brother, Damon McClure.
