Louise L. Snow
Louise L. Snow, 96, of Penn Mar Plaza, Mars, formerly of Downieville, passed away Saturday at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born Dec. 17, 1921, in Parker, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Annabelle Myers Henry.
She had worked for 28 years at the Trees Estate in Gibsonia.
Louise was a member and deacon at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, where she had also been secretary of the Women's Association and president of the Ella Dean Bible Class. She helped with the funeral lunches at the church.
She had been a member of the Mars Chapter 271 Order of the Eastern Star and had been secretary of the Mars AARP.
Her home had been used during the filming of the movie “Kingpin” starring Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid.
She traveled extensively and had been to almost all of the U.S. states and cruised to Canada.
Surviving are her sons, Rodger Snow of Mars and Gary (Barbara) Snow of Gibsonia; her grandchildren, Rodger (Rachael) Snow Jr., Bryan (Colleen) Snow, Addam Snow, Allen (Eileen) Nichols, Dale Nichols, Bonnie (Bill) Nichols, Lynda (Tim) Dolney, Crystal (Chad) Linaman, Jason (Jesse) Snow and Kenny (Sue) Snow; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces, Rita Blymiller, Jean Snow, Kristy Blymiller and Nancy Henry.
Also survived by one former daughter-in-law, Donna (Don) Weyman; one grand daughter-in-law, Mary Snow; her Penn Mar friends, Doris, Carol and Dorothy; and one special grand-daughter-in-law, Rachael, who came to see her and helped her every day.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jacob D. Snow; one son, Russell Snow; two daughters, Barbara and Bonnie Dayle; one great-grandson, Devin Snow; one sister, Grace Johnson, and her friend, Jim Becker.
SNOW — Friends of Louise L. Snow, who died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Eastern Star services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars.
