Rose Marie Snyder
Rose Marie Snyder, 89, of Fenelton died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born Sept. 14, 1928, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late James and Stella Miller Spinneweber.
She was a graduate of Butler Beauty School, had worked at Butler Shirt Factory and was a homemaker and mother.
Rose was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, was active in the Marion Guild at St. John, was a first-grade CCD teacher at St. John from the late 1960s until the mid 1980s and had also worked at the funeral luncheons.
She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and word searches. Along with her mother, she had been a cook for the threshing crews.
Surviving are her five sons, Harry Stephen (Debra) Snyder III of Fenelton, Ronald E. (Carol Lynn) Snyder of Fenelton, Raymond A. (Becky) Snyder of Fenelton, Patrick M. (Mary) Snyder of Butler, and Ralph J. (Rosemary) Snyder of Fenelton; 18 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren, along with two more expected; and three siblings, Paul Spinneweber, Grace (Richard) Leroy, and George (Alice) Spinneweber, all of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Snyder Jr., whom she married Oct. 26, 1948, and who died Feb. 2, 2008; two brothers, David and John; and two sisters, Bernadette and Dolores “Dodie.”
SNYDER — Friends of Rose Marie Snyder, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville. The Rev.
