Efforts to restore, refill Hereford Manor Lake to be discussed
A local high school senior wants to inform and engage the public about ongoing efforts to restore and refill Hereford Manor Lake.
Seneca Valley High School senior Will Adams is hosting an informational session about the lake, which was emptied in 2012 due to concerns about its deteriorating dams. The event is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Gregory School gymnasium in Zelienople.
“I chose this project because I am an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and I would love to see the lake restored,” Adams said in an email. “I became interested after seeing a local petition from (state) Rep. Aaron Bernstine about Hereford Manor. I decided that I wanted to conduct my project on something regarding the lake.”
The event also serves as his senior project.
