Donald E. Vogel
Donald E. Vogel, 86, of Mars died Saturday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born June 21, 1931, in Warrendale, he was the son of the late Vincent and Margaret Harbison Vogel.
Don worked for over 30 years at Vogel Disposal as a dispatcher and weighmaster.
He was a member and past master of John E. Mair Lodge 729, F&AM, and the Syria Shrine and Consistory. He was also a life member of the Mars Rod and Gun Club.
He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Mars American Legion and the Mars VFW Post 7505.
He had been a member of St. Kilian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra (Michael) Vogel of Las Vegas, Donna (Vincent) Steed of Cranberry Township and Diane Vogel of Mars; his grandchildren, Danielle (Alan) Gundlach of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Vincent Steed II of Phoenix; his great-grandchildren, Logan and Luke Gundlach; two brothers, Edward (Margaret) Vogel and Richard (Bernie) Vogel, both of Mars; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, E. Eileen Johnson Vogel, whom he married March 8, 1952, and who died April 12, 2014, by his twins, Dale and Gale; and his brother, Robert F. Vogel.

Vogel, who died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Beth Carey officiating. Burial will be at the Mars Cemetery in Adams Township.Members of John E.
