David “D.J.” Bauer Jr.

David “D.J.” Bauer Jr., 18, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Aug. 30 with Troop 58 of Glade Run.

He is a 2017 Mars High School honors graduate and now attends the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State as a broadcast journalism major.

D.J. is the son of Diane and Dave Bauer Sr. of Valencia.

For his Eagle project, D.J. removed two old benches at Glade Run Lake and built four new benches along the lake shore.

D.J. has been involved in Scouts for more than 12 years. He received the Arrow of Light and will become a member of the Order of the Arrow in May.

He has served as patrol leader, assistant patrol leader and scribe. He has 30 merit badges and earned a Bronze Eagle Palm.
