State police plan DUI patrols for St. Paddy's Day
With St. Patrick’s Day falling on Saturday, March 17, state police will be conducting roving and stationary DUI patrols March 16 through 18, according to a news release.
Drivers are advised to be aware of their surroundings and have their license, registration and insurance cards readily available. Police are also reminding drivers to drive sober and use a designated driver.
When passing stopped emergency vehicles, the vehicle code requires drivers to slow down or move over to the lane farthest from the stopped vehicles. Violating this law can result in fines ranging from $85 to $250.
