Elizabeth “Betty” Jean (Snyder) Judy

Elizabeth “Betty” Jean (Snyder) Judy, 89, of West Homestead passed away Tuesday at Shelbourne Personal Care Facility in Butler.

Born in Mifflin Township on March 1, 1928, she was the youngest of nine children and the daughter of the late Anna (Andres) and Leo Snyder.

She was the loving wife of the late Regis Foster Judy.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Duquesne High School and the Pittsburgh School of Beauty Culture.

She worked as a beautician at the Dolly Allen Beauty Shoppe in Duquesne for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed painting, bowling, gardening and walking.

She was a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church in Munhall.

She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Beveridge and Marguerite Oeler; her six children, Deborah (Allen) Korhnak, Marguerite Judy, Regis (Patricia) Judy Jr., Kevin (Ellen) Judy, Terrence (Laura) Judy and David (Michelle) Judy; and 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her stillborn son, Francis Raymond; and two grandchildren, David Michel and Sarah Elizabeth.

JUDY — Family and friends of Elizabeth “Betty” Jean (Snyder) Judy, who died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, 3501 Main St., Munhall.A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Therese Church, Munhall.Interment to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in West Mifflin.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001, or by calling 1-866-232-8484.Please visit www.swgfuneralhome.com.
