Arabell J. Moore

Arabell J. Moore, 91, of Chicora passed on of natural causes Thursday in VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born Friday, Jan. 7, 1927 in Buffalo, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Lawrence R. Jewart and Sarah Elizabeth Wall Jewart.

She married Clyde E. Moore Sr. Feb. 14, 1945, at First English Lutheran Church in Butler. Clyde died April 2, 2004.

She delighted in gardening, helping raise neighborhood children in her younger days and enjoyed family gatherings.

She had worked at Oesterling's Lawn and Garden Store for many years.

She was a member of North Butler Presbyterian Church in Chicora.

Arabell is survived by three daughters, Gloria and Don Riding, Rebecca Young and Julie and Brian Ruggles; three sons, Richard and Kim Moore, Clyde E. Moore Jr. and Paul and Melissa Moore. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.

MOORE — Friends of Arabell J. Moore, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora. Service will be officiated by the Rev. Mary Kitchen, pastor of North Butler Presbyterian Church and her niece, the Rev.
