Gary LeRoy Dunkle

Gary LeRoy Dunkle, P.M., of Bradenton, Fla., passed away on Jan. 7 at the age of 73.

Gary was born to his parents Glenn and Lulu (Martz) Dunkle on March 15, 1944 in Oil City. He was the fourth child of five.

He graduated from Moniteau High School in 1962.

After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served until 1966 as a jet mechanic.

Gary was a life-long Pittsburgh Steelers fan and never missed a game.

On June 25, 1971, Gary married the love of his life, his angel, Belinda (Barnes). Together they had three daughters, Heidi, Shannon and Alisha.

Gary worked as a millwright and electrician at Butler Armco until he retired in 1992. The family then relocated to Bradenton, Fla.

Gary was involved with Butler Masonic Lodge 272, which he joined in 1969. He was Worshipful Master in 1991.

Gary is survived by his wife, Belinda; daughters Heidi, Shannon (Mark) Reinoehl and Alisha; his sister, Vera Dunkle of Massachusetts; his brother, Dennis of Butler; and his granddaughters, Tiara Dunkle, Alexis Reinoehl, Haley Reinoehl and Kayla Reinoehl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Lulu; his sister, Phyllis Norrington; and a brother, Orval Dunkle.

DUNKLE — There will be no public visitation for Gary LeRoy Dunkle, who died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, as the family has chosen to hold a private celebration of life.Gary will be cremated as per his wishes and will always remain close to his beloved family.
