John Marion Coon
John Marion Coon, 64, of Butler passed away on Thursday while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver.
Born Sept. 3, 1953, in Clifton Springs, N.Y., he was the son of the late Claire and Viola Hill Coon.
John was a big NASCAR fan. He was hard-working, kind-hearted and a loyal friend with a great sense of humor. He and his life partner, Judy, loved to travel, especially to the Midwest.
John was employed as a project superintendent for the Layne Christensen Co., where he made many dear friends.
John is survived by his son, David John Coon of Butler; and two brothers, Leon (Patty) Coon of Phelps, N.Y. and Gerald (Susan) Coon of Stowe, Pa.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his life partner, Judy A. Witzel Coon.
