The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resource's Bureau of Forestry is hosting “Making the Most of Your Piece of Nature” at Butler County Community College from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 3 in the Succop Theater. The free workshop will offer information on sustainably managing land and increasing the environmental benefits it can provide. Area experts will have presentations on birds, wildflowers, invasive species and other topics. Local nonprofits and service providers will share available resources. State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will hold four town hall events, dubbed “Eggs and Issues,” in March.
