Robert M. Messina

Robert M. Messina, 77, of Seven Fields passed away Friday evening at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Jan. 27, 1940, in Stowe Township, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy Girdano Messina.

Robert was a human resources administrator for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of St. Kilian Church, the Cranberry Elks and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America in Pittsburgh.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Judith A. Dimmerling Messina, whom he married Aug. 17, 1968; his daughter, Christine Stilley and her husband, Thomas, of Bridgeville, Pa.; his grandchildren, Amelia and Jackson Stilley; and his brother, Louis Messina of Cranberry Township.

MESSINA — Friends of Robert M. Messina, who passed away Friday evening, Jan. 5, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.Entombment will be in the mausoleum at the Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township.Memorials may be made to St. Kilian Church.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
