Wilma A. Meyers

Wilma A. Meyers, 86, of Mars, formerly of Penn Township, died Wednesday evening in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.

Born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Stayduhar Ferlan.

Wilma had been a custodian with the Pine-Richland School District and was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills. She was also a member of Holy Sepulcher Christian Mothers.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Alan) Emerick of Butler and Kathy (Mark) LaCava of Valencia; two sons, Dennis (Rita) Meyers of Akron, Ohio, and Gary (Cathy) Meyers of Renfrew; a sister, Theresa Greer of Mars; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy F. Meyers, whom she married April 28, 1951, and who died June 25, 1991; and by a brother, Raymond Ferlan.

MEYERS — Friends of Wilma A. Meyers, who died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Please meet at the church.Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Sharpsburg.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
