Vickers E. Ward Jr.
Vickers E. Ward Jr., 85, of Valencia, formerly of McCandless Township, died Monday morning at Valencia Woods.
Born in Montgomery, Ala., on June 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Vickers E. and Mattie Mills Ward Sr.
Mr. Ward had been a purchaser, and later, an inventory control manager for Westinghouse Electric Supply Co., in Pittsburgh.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a 1st Lt. during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa Licnerski Ward, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1958; a son, Vickers (Patricia) Ward III of Marshall Township; three daughters, Ellen (William Jr.) Green of Butler, Karen (Kevin) Ward of Evans City, and Amy (Richard) Martin of Butler; his grandchildren, Julia, Adam, Ashley, Autumn and Cole; and a sister, Betty Jean (Charles) Dudley of Tallahassee, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Ward.
