Larry M. Schoeneberger
Larry M. Schoeneberger, 63, of Buffalo Township passed away in the arms of his family at his home on Saturday while in the company of family.
Larry was born in Nazareth, Pa., on Jan. 5, 1954. He was the son of Delores (Fox) Schoeneberger of Nazareth and the late John C. Schoeneberger Sr.
Larry graduated from Bucknell University in 1975 with his bachelor's degree in accounting. He was also a “Kodak All-American” linebacker on the Bucknell football team and a member of the Bucknell Sports Hall of Fame.
Larry was the vice president of finance for GENCO in Blawnox. He had worked for the company for the past 31 years and just retired in 2015.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors, animals, hiking, gardening and was an avid reader. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his two grandsons.
Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janice (Owens) Schoeneberger; two sons, Kurt C. Schoeneberger of Buffalo Township, and Erich J. and Lindsay Schoeneberger of Buffalo Township; and a daughter, Kristen L. Schoeneberger of Morgantown, W.Va.; his two grandsons, Lukas and Levi Schoeneberger; his three sisters, Sheila and Keith Fogel of Walnutport, Pa., Linda and Todd Kaplan of Allentown, Lisa and Scott Palochik of Nazareth; two brothers, John C. and Kathie Schoeneberger Jr. of Nazareth, and Terry Schoeneberger of Nazareth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
SCHOENEBERGER — Family and friends of Larry M. Schoeneberger, who died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Everyone is asked to gather at St. Mary Mother of God Church in Freeport for the funeral service that will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Ronald Maquinana, officiating.A private family burial service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Freeport.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guillain-Barré syndrome, CIDP 375 E.
