Raymond E. Davis
Raymond E. Davis, 83, passed away peacefully Thursday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Dec. 12, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of the late Lewis Davis and the late Gertrude Snyder Davis.
Mr. Davis worked for his family's business, Davis Well Drilling. When he was younger, he also helped his dad mine coal. Mr. Davis also was employed by Armco/AK Steel, where he drove a truck until he retired in 1996.
He and his wife ran their dairy farm from 1967 until 1989 and then tended beef cattle until 1998.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed local turkey shoots. He enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Florida with family.
He was married to Catherine A. Davis in 1966. She preceded him in death in 1998. He married Peggy (Margaret) Isonogle in 2001. She preceded him in death in 2012.
He is survived by one son, Paul M. Davis, and his husband, Lee Bond; his daughter, Cathy Pakutz and her husband, Wally Pakutz; and two granddaughters, Amanda Mulder of Maryland and Carolyn Michaud of Alaska.
Surviving siblings are three sisters, Donna Kirk and her husband, Butch, of Florida, Anne Twentier of Butler and Kathy Kondos and her husband, Michael, of Butler; and one brother, William Davis of Butler.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanne Shields of Butler; and one brother, Lewis “Mike” Davis of West Sunbury.
DAVIS — Friends of Raymond E. Davis, who died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with Pastor Reid Moon officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Davis' honor to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
