Norma Jean Lowers Myers

Norma Jean Lowers Myers, 85, of Butler passed away on Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Petrolia, and was the daughter of the late Clarence Lowers and the late Mary Leona (Finefrock) Lowers.

Norma Jean was a graduate of Karns City Area High School.

She worked for Grants and the Outdoor Army Store.

Norma was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church and a foster grandparent with the Red Cross.

She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her one son, Lonnie (Carol) Myers of Butler; two daughters, Rosalind (Donald) Watterson of Butler and Dena (Paul) Erkens of Butler; seven grandchildren, Beth, Nikki, Jennifer, Bobbi Jean, Kristi, Lonnie and Laura; 13 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Lexus, Houston, Phoenix, Kingston, Raegan, Bladen, Bryson, Weston, Owen, Kate, and Phoebe; one sister, Lulu Bell Hartzel of Knox; and three nieces and two nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Myers, whom she married on July 25, 1952, and who passed away on Sept. 17, 1976; and her sister, Thelma Miller.

MYERS — Friends of Norma Jean Lowers Myers, who died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held immediately following at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Jenks of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, officiating.Private burial will take place in the Bear Creek Cemetery.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
