Joanna Patricia Ferguson of Houston, Pa., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday.

Beloved wife of the late John Francis Ferguson.

Born on April 22, 1939, in Rimersburg, Pa., she is the daughter of the late John and Ruth Merrell; loving mother of Jennifer (John) Martincic, Jessica (Jonathan) Ament, Judd Ferguson, Jacqueline (Chriss) Marshman and Janette Osche; cherished grandmother of Adrielle (Anthony) Livesay, Addisen Knetzer and Calvin Martincic, Samantha and Spencer Ament, Alexandra (Severn) Turok, Logan and Dempsey Ferguson, Maddison, Hunter, and Mason Marshman, Guiliana and Ryleigh Osche and great-grandmother of Mara Livesay; dear sister of John (Audrie) Merrell, James (Juanita) Merrell, Bill Campbell, the late Vernon Merrell, Melvin Campbell and Thelma Mauk; and sister-in-law of Marsha Merrell.

She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joanna was devoted to her ministry and Bible education as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sewing, baking and reading. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, children and especially her grandchildren.

FERGUSON — A service for Joanna Patricia Ferguson, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 70 Cleveland Road, Washington, Pa.
