Rose L. Hackett
Rose L. Hackett, 77, of Butler passed away Monday after a brief illness.
Born in Larsen Bay, Alaska, on March 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Harry Carlsen and Ellen Carlsen.
Rose married her best friend and the love her of life, Bill. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed any activities involving her grandchildren and loved attending southern gospel concerts with friends.
Rose was a devout Christian and a Prayer Warrior with a very gentle nature. She was involved in various church ministries throughout her life, such as Pioneer Girls and the Hospitality Committee.
Rose will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Rick Hackett, and his wife, Shelbi, of Columbia, Md.; her daughter, Colleen Stamm, and her husband, Bob, of Butler; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, William R. “Bill” Hackett, who passed away Feb. 26, 2016; two brothers and one sister.
HACKETT — Friends of Rose L. Hackett, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler, with the Rev.
