Mary Jeanne Rodgers

Mary Jeanne Rodgers, 87, of Chicora died Sunday morning in the Chicora Medical Center.

Born Thursday, June 11, 1931, in Brady Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Earl Boyle and Dora Anna (Murtland) Boyle.

She married Patrick E. Rodgers on Thursday, Jan. 18, 1951, and he died Tuesday, June 10, 1997.

She worked at Butler Memorial Hospital in dietary.

She was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.

She graduated from Chicora High School.

In her younger years, she enjoyed camping with her husband and friends.

Mary Jeanne is survived by three daughters, Gloria Cunningham, Anna Marie Sherwin and Elaine (Dave) Dittman; a son, David Rodgers; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and her three sisters-in-law, Polly Boyle, Ellie Rodgers and Patricia Rodgers.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Boyle (John) Steiner and Genevieve Boyle; and a brother, Clayton Boyle.

RODGERS — There will be no viewing or visitation for Mary Jeanne Rodgers, who died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.
